One sure sign of summer is the appearance of the Wienermobile, the Oscar Meyer hot dog on wheels that has rolled along American highways since 1934.

The latest version of the motor vehicle has been dramatically redesigned and features a GPS navigational system, audio/video center and anti-lock brakes. Visually, it recalls the 747 that is used to transport the Space Shuttle, only without wings.

Convenience store and filling station owners around the country cannot get enough of the traveling tube steak, according to QuikTrip marketing vice president Jim Denny.
