CHICAGO Weber Grill Restaurants has tapped independent agency Hoffman York to handle several integrated marketing initiatives without a review, the shop said.
The agency will handle the work at its Chicago office, beginning with a public relations effort to increase awareness of the four-restaurant chain, whose signature style is to prepare food on Weber barbecue grills.
Weber Grill Restaurants, a division of Weber-Stephen Products Co., is based in Palatine, Ill. Duties on that account, currently at independent agency Greenhouse Communications in Chicago, were unaffected.
"The chemistry with Hoffman York was good very quickly, which is important since I see the agency as an extension of our team," said Andrea Vassallo, marketing manager for Weber Grill Restaurants. "We intend to leverage their breadth of expertise so that our marketing efforts are well integrated."
Billings were not disclosed. Weber Grill Restaurants had no recorded ad spending last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
