Promus Hotel Corp. plans to screen both roster and nonroster agencies about a possible consolidation of its estimated $40 million advertising account.
Promus vice president of marketing Greg Malark said he is collecting background information from 16 shops and will choose six or seven to begin visiting later this month. A decision is expected in June.
Malark said incumbent agencies, including GSD&M of Austin, Texas, and DDB Needham Dallas, will be included, but he declined to name other shops on his initial list.
