Philip Johnson Associates has named Robert Davis creative director. He will supervise a creative and production staff of 18 at the agency's Cambridge, Mass., headquarters and San Francisco office, overseeing all creative work from the 28-person shop. Davis reports to president Philip Johnson and replaces Mike Connell, who left the shop last summer. Previously, Davis spent three years at New York marketing firm AnswerThink, where he worked on accounts such as IBM and Sony Electronics. He has also served in creative positions at now-defunct Ingalls in Boston and at Chiat/Day and Lintas in New York.
