A creative presentation by San Antonio’s The Parker & Wood Association helped the city of Grapevine, Texas, earn a $350 million development from Opryland USA.
Competing against the cities of Dallas and Houston, Grapevine officials hired Parker & Wood to develop a strategic plan that included advertising, marketing and promotional activities that would accompany a new hotel and convention center proposed by Opryland.
Following its creative pitch, the agency presented a gift to visiting Opryland officials: a ukelele case holding a bottle of wine.
