BOSTON Panasonic today said three agencies have reached the final round of the review for its marketing account. The work in play is worth an estimated $60 million.
Havas-owned Arnold, MDC Partners' Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners and Omnicom Group's Merkley + Partners are invited to make final presentations later this month. All three are pursuing the business from their offices in New York.
Out of contention are WPP Group's Berlin Cameron United, Publicis Groupe-backed Bartle Bogle Hegarty and independent Modernista! in Boston. (The company initially reached out to 12-15 shops nationwide.)
Consultancy Pile and Co. here is overseeing the process for the client in Secaucus, N.J. A decision is due early next month.
Both creative and media duties, as well as below-the-line marketing chores, are up for grabs.
WPP's Grey in New York had handled creative and sibling MediaCom worked on media chores. Panasonic put those shops on 90-day notice in November.
