NEW YORK As the Green Bay Packers look ahead to their Nov. 2 game against the Minnesota Vikings, quarterback Brett Favre took a day, Oct. 28, to film a TV spot for MasterCard in the New York suburb of Port Washington, where the corner near Main Street and Shore Road was temporarily reconstructed to resemble a bit of Green Bay, Wis.

The spot, via McCann-Erickson in New York, features faux stores and shops such as Greenbay (sic) Beauties hair salon and Greenbay (sic) Ice Cream and restaurants that sell Green Bay Burgers, which come into play with Favre and his MasterCard. Campaign spending was not available.

The commercial, to break nationally in mid-November, is part of MasterCard’s “Priceless” campaign. In the humorous ad, Favre gets to turn the table on people who are playing Monday morning quarterback.

The setting for the Favre spot is just a football pass away from the popular waterside filming location where parts of the movie Meet the Parents were shot with Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller. Stiller and Favre previously worked together in There’s Something About Mary.
