NEW YORK Cumulative online sales for the 2002 holiday season reached $12.6 billion in 2002, according to comScore Networks.

That figure is nearly a 30 percent increase over the year before for the period from Nov. 1 through Dec. 20. Non-travel sales went up 23 percent during the 2002 holiday to $8.5 billion, while online travel sales rose 51 percent to $4.1 billion.
