CHICAGO Omnicom has bought brand licensing and consulting company The Beanstalk Group from Ford Motor Company, the companies announced today. Terms were not disclosed.
"The addition of Beanstalk to the Omnicom network will further expand the services that we offer clients to meet their changing marketing needs," said Thomas Harrison, CEO of Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services division, in a statement.
The agency will operate in Omnicom's DAS group, and will maintain offices in New York, Detroit and London. The agency's founders and principals will also have an ownership stake in the shop, though the exact percentage was not disclosed.
The 100-employee company, which has been in existence nearly 20 years, puts together licensing deals for brands. The company handles strategic planning, product development, retailer coordination and program management. The company's clients include AT&T, Harley-Davidson, Stanley Works and Ford.
