Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising Worldwide plans to create Darwin Digital, a stand-alone division devoted to interactive marketing.





Darwin, to be based in New York, will operate under the agency’s Saatchi & Saatchi Vision unit, said sources. Darwin would be formed by combining the agency’s various interactive teams into one group, which will pursue business from both existing and outside clients. Saatchi associate creative director Coby O’Brien will head up Darwin and its 20 staffers, sources said.





The interactive teams at the agency’s Saatchi & Saatchi Pacific and Team One Advertising units in Southern California, which both work for Toyota, will not be involved in the new group, said sources.
