Beginning Saturday, readers of The Hartford Courant will be treated to a countdown culminating in the introduction of a redesign of the newspaper.
For nine consecutive days, the Connecticut daily will publish a different page-one nameplate culled from its 233-year history. On the final day, September 29, the new nameplate will grace the front page of the redesigned issue. That day’s edition will also contain a special supplement that explains the changes to readers.
The new-look Courant promises to feature cleaner, more reader-friendly layouts and typography as well as new, better-organized features, according to managing editor Clifford Teutsch.
