Still reeling from the loss of the $300 million Saturn account, Publicis & Hal Riney was stung again last week, losing a shootout for the $60-75 million Wachovia Bank business.

Mullen/LHC in Winston-Salem, N.C., beat Riney in San Francisco in a closely watched shootout. The agencies had been incumbents on Wachovia Bank and First Union, respectively, before the banks merged last year.

Riney cut some 140 workers after losing Saturn to Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
