BOSTON -- Mullen has added advertising assignments from wireless company Nextel Communications and eyeglass manufacturer FosterGrant.
Nextel tapped Mullen/LHC, Winston-Salem, N.C., to provide national advertising support for the client's 200 retail stores, a Nextel official said.
It was unclear if Nextel held a lengthy review for the business, though at least some other agencies were evaluated, sources said. Billings are estimated at $12 million. The Interpublic Group agency's Wenham, Mass., headquarters already handles Nextel's $110-million image account, its largest single piece of business.
Separately, the Wenham office has been retained by FosterGrant, Smithfield, R.I., the client said. FosterGrant has generated little media advertising in recent years and the budget for Mullen, though not finalized, will likely be in the low seven figures for print-based efforts.
