CHICAGO-Whittman-Hart here has assigned its ad account to McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown. The Chicago agency will work to develop a strategy to help the information technology company compete with larger competitors, including IBM Global Services and Arthur Andersen.
A media budget has yet to be determined, but sources earlier said the company will spend around $3 million. The account includes media buying.
Whittman-Hart’s review came down to MSSB, Rhea & Kaiser in Naperville, Ill., and Publicis & Hal Riney in Chicago.
MSSB’s first task will be to develop a strategic branding position, said Peter Zapf, vice president and director of business development at the agency.
