NEW YORKLieber Levett Koenig Farese Babcock bolstered its management ranks, creating the position of general manager and hiring Angela DiBartolo, a former managing partner at The Star Group in Cherry Hill, N.J., to fill it. DiBartolo is charged with overseeing day-to-day operations of the New York shop, which specializes in direct marketing. Before The Star Group, DiBartolo was president of Earle Palmer Brown Direct in Philadelphia. She also has client-side experience, having held marketing posts at Mars, Campbell's and the food-service division of PepsiCo. LLKFB claims billings of more than $90 million and a staff of 85, up from about $50 million and 45, respectively, in 1998.Deirdre O'Grady was named vice president, pricing and planning/traffic for Court TV in New York. She was formerly director of network sales planning and traffic at PAX TV, NBC/Paxson Communications.Ticketmaster hired Christopher Nei meth as executive vice president, national sales, a newly created position. Neimeth, previously president and CEO of Real Media, will be based in New York.Guarino Woodman appointed Ilise Benun marketing director. She will be responsible for new-business development at the New York-based agency. Since 1990, she has served as director of Creative Marketing & Management in Hoboken, N.J.Comedy Central in New York hired Mitch Fried as vice president, promotion marketing; he most recently worked as senior vice president, marketing, for Golden Books Entertainment Group. In addition, the network promoted Joseph Jahrsdoerfer to vice president, operations, information technology; he formerly served as director of the department.New York Women in Communications appointed Eileen Ast board president of the NYWICI Foundation. She succeeds Elizabeth Crow, who oversaw the initial development of the New York-based foundation since its establishment last spring. Ast most recently served as director of communications at The New York Times Magazine Group.Nathalie Trouillot-Lubensky was promoted to vice president, affiliate marketing at VH1. She will take on all of the strategic responsibilities for New York-based VH1's affiliate marketing, as well as continue to manage the day-to-day operations of the department. Trouillot-Lubensky originally joined VH1 in 1998 as NE region marketing manager, and was promoted to director, affiliate marketing in 1999.Lifetime Television named Victoria Gusciora vice president, finance and promoted Christa Horan from director, strategic planning and operations to vice president, finance. They are based in New York. Gusciora, who was most recently at GetMusic, is responsible for the financial reporting and planning for programming finance, marketing and public affairs. Horan is responsible for payroll/compensation and accounts receivable/revenue, and oversees all financial reporting and planning relative to these two areas; in addition, she works closely with Lifetime's independent auditors on employee benefits.Burson Marsteller in New York named Judi Mackey chairperson of its U.S. corporate/financial practice. As chair, she will lead development of capabilities and services in the areas of corporate reputation, CEO positioning, internal-change communication, crisis and issues management, financial communications and investor relations. She joins B-M from Edelman Public Relations. In addition, Ira Fine arrived at the agency as a manager in its New York public-affairs practice; he spent the past 10 years at the New York Power Authority.Attik hired Gwynne Gauntlett as executive producer/interactive for the New York studio. She previously worked at FlyStudios in New York, an interactive solutions, design and production agency she founded.Christopher Urig joined Media Logic as an account executive. He will work on Visa at the Albany-based agency. NEW JERSEYPhil Brady was named chairman and CEO of Thomas Ferguson Associates, CommonHealth's founding full-service professional ad agency, a post he will hold in tandem with his broader title of co-chairman of Parsippany-based CommonHealth. David Chapman, who previously served as executive vice president, group managing director at TFA, was named president of TFA, the position previously held by Brady.GráficaGroup in Chester appointed Gina Callan media director; prior to joining the company, she was an independent media consultant with Post & Partners, The Seiden Group and Area Marketing Associates. In addition, GráficaGroup promoted Ken Catino to junior art director; he previously served as a coordinator in the production and traffic departments.
