Stewart Owen, vice chairman and chief strategic officer at Young & Rubicam in New York, has joined the board of directors at eCompanyStore.com, a service that connects businesses with manufacturers of promotional merchandise. Owen was previously vice chairman of Landor Associates, Y&R's brand identity firm.
The Vancouver office of Young & Rubicam has tapped Don Veinish as its new creative director and general manager. He previously ran his own consultancy, Your Ad Here, in Vancouver.
DiMassimo Brand Advertising, New York, has added eight staffers and promoted four. Melissa Brooks was appointed executive vice president, director of client services; she previously held that title at McCann-Erickson Worldwide. Mark Felgenson joined the agency as associate creative director; he was a senior copywriter at Ogilvy & Mather. Jason Nussbaum arrived as brand supervisor from Lowe & Partners/ SMS. Other recent appointments: director of print production Gary Barbetta, senior art designer Sau Wai Chiu, studio manager Sean Clancy, assistant brand manager Larry Silverstein and brand planner Chris Parzych. Carla Hall was promoted to vice president, executive producer from creative manager/broadcast producer; Lee Goldstein moved up to director of business development from new business manager; Matt Low advanced to senior brand planner; and Kristen Schuster was elevated to brand supervisor from senior brand manager.
Holland Advertising, New York, has promoted Con Williamson to creative director from art director. He previously worked at McCann-Erickson in Atlanta.
Hill & Knowlton, New York, named David Groobert managing director at its Washington, D.C.-based marketing group. He comes from Comsat, where he was director of public relations.
Sachs Communications Group, New York, named Ethan Gussow manager, video presentations. Previously, he had been senior video editor at Mullen Advertising in Wenham, Mass.
Creative Healthcare Solutions, Saratoga Springs, appointed Richard Pokorny senior copywriter; he was most recently senior writer at Draft Worldwide in New York. The agency also named Ann Mooney an account director; she had been an account supervisor at the Hal Lewis Group in Philadelphia.
Daniel F. Drescher has joined Parade, New York, as an advertising sales representative. He was previously at Petersen Publishing, where he was an account manager for Sport magazine.
Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, New York, has hired Nancy Tamosaitis as senior vice president of its technology practice. She was previously managing director and senior vice president, technology and new media at LobsenzStevens.
New York Women in Communications has elected new officers to its 1999-2000 board of directors. Elizabeth Crow, editor-in-chief of Mademoiselle, was named president; Mary Lou Quinlan, vice chairman of the MacManus Group, becomes president-elect; and Barbara Brennan, vice president of Lifetime Television, serves as immediate past president.
Anne Bernstein was appointed vice president in the consumer trends division at Roper Starch Worldwide in New York. She was most recently national director of emerging markets at Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York.
Siegel & Gale, New York, named Lynn Amato Madonna, founding principal of Corporate Marketing Group in New York, to its board of directors.
Charles Trevail was named managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at The FutureBrand Co., New York. He formerly led the Enterprise IG office in London.
Direct marketing and media company VentureDirect Worldwide, New York, promoted Michael Castello to supervisor of compiled list services. He had previously been a senior account executive in the compiled list department.
F. G. Rodgers has joined Response Logic, New York, as a director. Previously at IBM, Rodgers served as vice president, marketing, responsible for worldwide marketing activities. In 1984, he left IBM to pursue a career as an author and lecturer.
Mark Russell & Associates in Syracuse added four staffers, including two in its interactive department. Brad Remington joined the firm as interactive producer from Mekareli, a Syracuse-based multimedia firm; and Laurie Ferger was named interactive programmer after working as a programmer at Designer Software. Bernadette Soto, previously a project coordinator at Hezel Associates, was hired as an assistant account executive; and Brian Rudinsky was appointed direct marketing manager after serving as an account manager at Allied Advertising.
Marne Roskin joined Lipman Richmond Greene, New York, as media director. She was most recently vice president, global media at Young & Rubicam.
Korey Kay & Partners, New York, made several staff changes. Barbara Salerno arrived as senior vice president, account director heading the Mirage Resorts team; John Friedman was named senior account executive; Grace Lerner was appointed art director; Lisa McMahan was named copywriter; Chris Snyder was hired as an account supervisor; and Dorothy Tiedermann joined the firm as production artist. Account director Ron Hofferman also added vice president to his title.
Weider Publications in New York named Greg Lubba advertising director at Men's Fitness. He was previously a regional sales director in Hachette Filipacchi's corporate sales division.
Two staff changes were made at Vibe Ventures, the parent company of Vibe and Blaze. Raymond O'Neal Jr. was promoted to Vibe Ventures executive director and Blaze publisher from director of operations at that magazine; Winnie Bernier was appointed Vibe and Blaze national music ad sales and marketing director after serving as advertising and marketing director at Tommy Boy records.

Craig Mikes joined the Cherry Hill-based Star Group as a senior art director. He most recently worked at Stan & Lou Advertising in Houston. The Star Group also named Maria Antonelli its "shining star," an award given to one employee per quarter for exemplary performance. Antonelli is a vice president and team leader working with such clients as Jevic Transportation, Global Vacation Group, NJ KidCare and Agson.
Christine Zeppi joined DKB and Partners, Morristown, as traffic coordinator. She was most recently production coordinator at Reed Elsevier in New Providence.
The MWW Group, East Rutherford, recently named Jennifer Beck general manager/senior legislative director at its Trenton office. She was legislative director for Assemblyman Joseph Azzolina (R-Middletown).
MPE Communications, Fair Lawn, has made several staff changes. Sharon Ross and Lynda Smith were promoted to associate program director; Adrienne Welsch was named scientific affairs director; and Joy Pollard and Alberta Russo advanced to program coordinator.
Peter Shea joined The Cherenson Group, Livingston, as a public relations account executive. He was most recently a publicist at HarperCollins Publishers in New York.

The Neiman Group in Harrisburg made several management changes: Founder Steven Neiman was named chief executive officer; partner Frank Coleman was elected president; Tony May advanced to executive vice president of Neiman + May Communications from president of The Neiman Group's issue management and public relations arm; Rick Kelly was promoted to vice president for public relations at The Neiman Group from director of client services at Neiman + May; and Rich Wiley moved up to director of development at the Neiman Group from director of client services.
Elkman/Alexander & Partners in Philadelphia has added three staffers. Jennifer Ryan joined the agency as an account executive, James Lamb was named production manager and Aren Platt was appointed production artist.
DMW Worldwide, Wayne, added three staffers. Thomas Trost was named vice president, business development; he was director of sales and marketing at Maple Direct. Richard Tooker was appointed senior vice president, database marketing. He was executive vice president at Customer Development Corp. Dawn Honnen also joined the agency's Philadelphia office as a senior account supervisor after holding marketing positions at two insurance agencies and a mortgage company.
Kimberly Shields joined Hill Flaherty Sabol Marketing Communications, Pittsburgh, as an account executive. She had worked as a media and account supervisor at Market Place Print.
LD&B Advertising, Horsham, named Angelique Quinn a senior account executive. She had been an account executive at Praxis Communications.
