NEW YORK Foote, Cone & Belding, New York, has promoted senior producer Laura Benjamin to vice president. She works on such accounts as Chase Debit Card and Online Banking, and 1-800-CALL-ATT. Margeotes/Fertitta + Partners has added two staffers. Dan Cohen joined the New York agency as associate creative director/art director from Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners in New York. Sandi Quatrale arrived as senior art director from Holland Mark Martin, where she was a senior art director. Mike Emerson joined Doremus, New York, as senior vice president, group management supervisor. He previously served as senior vice president, group management director at Foote, Cone & Belding, also in New York. Meltem Cakir joined The Esperanto Group in New York as director of strategic services. She has worked previously at Arnold Communications, McCann-Erickson and The Lowe Group, and was most recently at brand consultancy V.B. Concepts. Mak Karaatli has joined Eric Mower and Associates as computer production manager. Prior to joining the Albany shop, she was a production manager and artist at HMH Advertising and Public Relations in Portland, Ore. Eric Mower and Associates' Rochester office added three staffers. Mike Doebler has joined the firm as assistant account executive; Sam Nicolosi was named senior graphic designer; and Chad Pattison was named graphic designer. Neil Faber Media, New York, has named Raymond Galis vice president, media director. He previously held that title at DeWitt Media. The Advertising Council, New York, presented the 11th annual G.D. Crain Jr. Award for outstanding volunteerism in advertising to Woody Woodruff, creative director at Marsteller Advertising in New York. The New York-based Association of National Advertisers has named Robin Webster and Robert Liodice executive vice presidents. Webster joined the ANA as senior vice president in 1994, after senior positions at Weight Watchers, Nestle and Frito-Lay. Liodice joined the ANA in 1995, after senior positions at Grupo Televisa and Kraft. Sander Flaum, chairman and chief executive officer at Robert A. Becker Euro RSCG in New York, has been named to the advisory boards of both The Max M. Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University and The Fordham University Graduate School of Business Administration. The Central New York chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has honored Rob Furlong, director of public relations at Syracuse-based Crawford Advertising, with its Rising Star Award. In his first year at Crawford, Furlong helped triple the agency's billings. Progressive Marketing Group in Melville has named Rebecca Angelbeck communications supervisor. She had previously held communications positions at such companies as Pall Corp. in East Hills and Stanton Crenshaw Communications in New York. Earle Palmer Brown, New York, promoted Robin-Marie Williams to partner and strategic planning director. She had been senior vice president, strategic planning. She will be responsible for strategic planning and development at the agency's New York, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia offices. TMPG in White Plains named Lisa Skrelja director, account services group. She most recently served as assistant controller at Global Marketing Resources. Gretchen Carter was named sales manager at Getko Group. She will manage sales operations for the Westbury company's Welcome Wagon service in the Dallas area and Eastern Texas. Space.com, New York, has named John Phillips vice president of marketing. Phillips had most recently served as vice president of marketing at Sony Wonder, a division of Sony Music, for five years. HotJobs.com, New York, named Dean Harris senior vice president of marketing. He most recently served as vice president of marketing at Knowledgecast, an Internet streaming-media company. New York-based Napoleon Art & Productions has hired Rich Paul as an editor. He spent the past four years at Charlex, where he worked on projects for such New York agencies as Saatchi & Saatchi, J. Walter Thompson and Grey Advertising. NEW JERSEY Grafica added two staffers. David Irvine joined the Chester agency as group creative leader. He was most recently senior art director at Bertelsmann Music Group. Michele Schulman was named account supervisor. She had previously served as an account supervisor at the in-house ad agency of Prudential Insurance Company of America. DVC Communications has added two staffers. The shop has named Hugh Thatcher executive vice president, human resources. He was previously a human resources consultant in private practice. Charles Mansfield Jr. has also joined the Morristown shop as executive vice president, legal and external affairs. He had formerly worked as chief executive officer at PBTC International Bank and chief financial officer at Chase Manhattan's retail-banking sector. PENNSYLVANIA Morrisville-based Parachute Creative named Karen Crager director of public relations. She was formerly at Boyd Tamney Cross Marketing in Wayne. Medical Broadcasting in Philadelphia made six staff changes. Richard Altus was named chief financial officer; he had most recently been executive vice president and chief financial officer at CoreTech Consulting Group. John DeMaio was hired as an associate in the strategic-services department, after graduating recently from The Wharton School. Mike Stafford was named strategic account manager, after serving as vice president and director of strategic planning at Toltzic Communications. Walter Davis has arrived as design director from Dorland Sweeney Jones division inRx, where he was creative director. Leila Reed was named marketing manager; she had been a senior media planner at GDA Communications. Craig Huber was hired as a marketing manager; he had been a senior account executive at LD&B in Horsham. Bozell Kamstra, Pittsburgh, promoted Brian Bronaugh from partner, associate creative director to creative director. He replaces senior partner, creative director John Chepelsky, who has retired. Senior copywriters Michael Hoff and Ilona Segedy rose to associate creative director posts.
