Zenith Media Services, New York, is searching for a new CEO to run its Asian operation after Antony Young's resignation, effective April 30. Young, who lives in Hong Kong, plans to join an undisclosed Internet company within the next two months. Zenith, which has made a list of about 10 candidates, seeks someone with "fantastic energy," as well as familiarity with the region, said John
Perriss, Zenith worldwide chairman and CEO. Zenith Asia's billings approach $1 billion.
Interbrand, New York, named Richard Gerstman chairman. He was previously president of Interbrand Gerstman+Meyers, the company's product-packaging identity and design unit. Interbrand also named Tom Zara a managing partner. He was formerly a senior consultant at the company.
Mediaplex has hired Kimberly Hall as managing director for its New York office. Prior to joining the San Francisco company, Hall was partner, worldwide management supervisor on the IBM software and brand accounts at OgilvyOne, New York.

Source Communications in Hackensack has named Jeff Chesebro senior vice president, director of business development. Most recently, Chesebro was a senior partner at J. Walter Thompson, New York, with responsibilities for new-business development.
Gr‡fica has hired America Carlough as a marketing manager, responsible for such clients as AT&T and Lucent Technologies, among others. Before joining the Chester agency, she was brand manager for the sports-marketing division of Genesis Direct. In addition, sister agency Gr‡fica inter.active, also in Chester, has promoted Kelly Lee to vice president of interactive services. She was formerly an account director.
Creative 911 has promoted two staffers and added one. Cynthia Messina was named director of accounts; she was previously an account executive at the Hackensack shop. Daniel Lynch was appointed marketing services manager; most recently, he was marketing supervisor. Rafiek Ghabious was hired as agency production manager.
