Stuart Bacon named Cathy Cooper an assistant public relations account executive at the Fort Worth-based firm. Duties will include writing, event planning and media relations.
Draven Crotte has joined Mithoff Advertising, El Paso, as lead designer in the interactive department. He was previously art director at Helen of Troy, also El Paso.
MSI Holdings, Austin, expanded its management team with the appointment of Thomas Upton to vice president of sales and marketing. Upton was formerly president of the global distribution division of Boundless Corp. and Boundless Technologies, Austin.
The Balcom Agency, Fort Worth, hired art directors Randall Addison from Harris Creative and Jim Holmes from Regian & Wilson Advertising and Public Relations. Addison’s client responsibilities include Texas Health Resources, Galderma and Motorola. Holmes was assigned duties for The Justin Boot Co. and Motorola.
GSD&M, Austin, added account manager Brian Dare and account director Nancy George to its Lennox account team. Dare arrived from Staats Falkenberg & Partners, Austin, while George previously was with Tocquigny Advertising & Design, also Austin.
Zack Hall joined The Price Communications Group, Lubbock, as print media buyer. He previously worked for Caviness Advertising/Public Relations, also Lubbock.
Rives Carlberg in Houston hired four staffers: associate creative director James Mikus, previously with Cranford Johnson Robinson Woods, Little Rock, Ark.; digital artist Max Olson, a former freelancer and product artist at BMC Software Corp., Houston; account supervisor Shelley Schultz, formerly of Goswick & Associates, Houston; and assistant media buyer Rosemary Constante, from KETH-Channel 14, Houston.
The Advertising Club of Fort Worth named its 1998-99 officers: president Glenna Crocker; first vice president Joe McKay; second vice president Shelley Horan; treasurer Scott Sigrist; and immediate past president Susan Cook Adkins.
Creative services director Lynn Weatherly and planning director Leanne Welling were both promoted to vice presidencies at Taylor Speier Group in Houston.
Vollmer Public Relations, Houston, promoted four staff members: management supervisor Denisha Raulston moved up to vice president of consumer products; account supervisors Renee Catacalos and Patricia Frank progressed to management supervisors; and account executive Eileen Ansel Conery advanced to senior account executive.
Temerlin McClain, headquartered in Irving, added account supervisor Steve Lehr, senior copywriter Jackie Hathiramani, art director Bryan Rickelman and designer Vincent LoPresti. In addition, the shop enlisted associate creative director Ron Head for its relationship marketing unit.
Latitude, an affiliate of The Richards Group in Dallas, promoted account supervisor Kelley Smith to account director and account executive Brian Powell to senior account executive. The shop also brought in art director Sara Lovas from Dallas design firm Polygon and senior account executive Jason McDaniel from Valentine Radford, also Dallas.
Liz Kline was tapped as the new business director for Eisenberg and Associates, Dallas. She was with Bremmer & Goris Communications, Alexandria, Va.

Staci Stockburger has joined the staff of Blackwood Martin/CJRW, Fayetteville, as marketing services manager. She was formerly an account executive for Little Rock political and media consulting firm Wills, Thompson, Paschall.
Stone & Ward, Little Rock, appointed Deborah Beard senior public relations account executive for its Terminix International and The Capital Hotel accounts and hired media planner and buyer Cynthia Burnett. Burnett’s accounts include Wendy’s of Arkansas, the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau, and International Paper.

Rick Johnson & Co., Albuquerque, tapped senior copywriter Tim Pegors, previously with Fallon McElligott in Minneapolis. He also worked with Rapp Collins Communications and Miller Meester Advertising, both Minneapolis.
