CONNECTICUTMelissa Gullotti joined Mascola Advertising, New Haven, as director of its public relations department with responsibility for overseeing and building the department and developing communications strategies for clients. She was previously director of public relations for Mount Snow. The firm also promoted Katie Tuttle from director of account service to vice president. She will oversee the strategic planning process for Mascola and its clients, monitoring market strategy, budget and creative process. Tehan Scully advanced to account manager of Mascola's PR department and Sarah Fabian was promoted to traffic manager in the production department.

Keiler & Co., Farmington, hired Jessica Lorenz as an assistant designer for clients General Cologne Re and St. Vincent's Hospital. She was previously a freelance designer in the marketing department of the Hartford Courant.

BSMG Worldwide/Boston appointed Patti Embry-Tautenhan and Jodi D'Urso-Matthews each as managing director. Embry-Tautenhan was previously corporate director of communications for the CareGroup, and D'Urso-Matthews was the chief of staff at the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority.

MangoSoft, a Westborough developer of Internet business software and services, hired Linda Myers-Tierney as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. She was formerly chief marketing officer for Eastman Software.

Brodeur Worldwide, Boston, hired Ray Thomas as senior vice president. He was most recently vice president of global communications at the Data General Division of EMC Corp. Thomas will lead Brodeur's information technology, business-to-business, telecommunications and health-tech teams in Boston.

Arnold Worldwide, Boston, promoted Mitch Blum to vice president, management supervisor on Verizon; Peter Winch to vice president, management supervisor on the Acushnet and Monster.com accounts; Tamara Bohsack of Arnold's Brand Promotions Department to account executive; Karen Waters to media supervisor; Jeff Gagne to network buyer; Erika Gleva to media planner on Volkswagen; and Paula Lazzaro to broadcast assistant manager. Sonus Networks, Westford, named Stephen Collins vice president of marketing with responsibility for all marketing functions, including product management and marketing communications. He joins Sonus, which provides voice infrastructure products, from Lucent Technologies, where he served as vice president of business development.

Unisphere Networks, a Chelmsford provider of IP infrastructure, appointed John Burnham as vice president of corporate marketing. He was previously vice president of strategic communications for C-Port Corp.

Bozell Kamstra, Danvers, named Leslie Shortt management supervisor. Shortt, who was previously director of new business for Tonic Design/CTI-Group in Portland, Ore., will supervise and manage projects primarily for Banknorth Group. The agency also hired Kevin Moakley as traffic manager.

Orsatti & Partners, Boston, hired Sally McFall, formerly with Wickersham Hunt Schwantner (now Arnold Worldwide) as an account manager.

The Weber Group, Cambridge, promoted Randi Tanguay to senior account executive and Michelle Apuzzio, Brent Skinner and Jocelynne Tennant each to assistant account executive.
