Margaret O'Connor DeJarnette has joined Logan Marketing and Communications in New Orleans as public relations account executive.
Media Direct, New Orleans, has gained Jacqueline J. Heitman as director of account services, responsible for the Media Direct accounts. Lynn Yeldell has been hired as director of business development. Meara Quinn Denton has been promoted to vice president overseeing special projects and major client accounts.
OKLAHOMA
Graphics Universal, Tulsa, has named Brian Giebel director of research and technology in charge of pre-press work flow. Giebel is formerly of Regent Printing & Imaging. Mattias Reiff was also tapped as account executive. Reiff, formerly with Unigraph, has over six years experience as a pre-press operator.
Littlefield in Tulsa has promoted Jimmy Diffee to the position of associate producer. New public relations account managers are Amy Latham, formerly of Williams Communications, and Carin Canale, former manager of community relations for Domestic Violence Intervention Services. New public relations account executives are Lisa Roth, former director of advertising and public relations at Dispense All, and Sonya Poindexter, former producer and assignment editor at KOTV, Channel 6.
Ralph Cole and John Smallwood Photographers, Tulsa, recently hired Kevin Goins as studio coordinator in charge of public relations and editorial photography.

Springbok Technologies, Austin, has appointed Bernard W. Walker as vice president and general manager of the Austin office. Melinda Hart is promoted to vice president and will relocate to Dallas to continue her participation in business development, recruiting and general account team management. Suzanne Bautch is also promoted to account supervisor. New hire Lisa Lawrence joins Springbok from Texas Monthly, where she was formerly public relations manager.
Montemayor y Asociados Advertising, San Antonio, appoints Cheryl Montez Rimes as media director. Rimes previously worked at KESZ and KYOT in Phoenix. In the agency's public relations department, Pamela Salazar has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president and director of public relations. New employee Stacy Ramoz joins the staff as public relations account coordinator. Most recently, she did public relations for the Texas Congress of Parents and Teachers in Austin.

Jerry Lindemann joins the creative department from Anderson Advertising as a graphic artist. Andrea Southern, formerly director of scheduling at EDS Productions in Studio City, Calif., is now director of traffic. Tara Cevallos joins the agency as media marketing manager. She was previously senior media buyer at Montemayor y Asociados.
NourzAds, Austin, welcomes Kelly Blanscet as senior graphic designer. She previously held positions with Rushing Advertising and JH&A Advertising.
Christina L. Salinas has joined ChrismanPeters Group, Austin, as an account executive. Salinas previously was with Springbok Technologies.
Flowers and Fedele, Dallas, has added the talents of Janet Sullivan as media director and promoted William Lee Casey to account supervisor.

Cecile de Jesus has moved to the public relations team of Witherspoon & Associates, Fort Worth, as account executive.
De Jesus formerly was the manager of Witherspoon's administrative staff.
Cooksey/McGill Communications, Dallas, has named Jacqueline Lajoie director of client services. Lajoie comes from the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, at which she was manager of public relations.
Gulf States Marketing Services, Houston, has appointed Bryant Wezner as national account manager. Prior to his recent appointment, Wezner held management and field sales positions at Gulf States Toyota, American Isuzu Motors and Subaru of America.
Bustin & Co., Dallas, brings aboard Don James as executive vice president and Patty Dickerson as vice president. James, recently a partner in the consulting firm Human Dimensions, will provide counsel in sales strategy, customer service and organizational development. Dickerson, a 20-year investor relations professional, will lead the firm's financial communications practice.
Ward Communications, Dallas, welcomes Eric Turner, formerly of Gugel Advertising, as account service coordinator, as well as Michael Hernandez, formerly of the Dallas Symphony, as media buyer.
Steven W. Leh has joined Campbell-Ewald, Dallas, as senior vice president and regional management supervisor. Previously, Leh held the position of director of retail marketing at Western Auto Supply Co. Kim Self, formerly of The Martin Agency, Richmond, Va., also joins the firm as account supervisor. Both Leh and Self will work on the account of the newly formed General Motors South Central U.S. region's Chevrolet brand.
Rives Carlberg, Houston, has added Brad Coffey as copy writer and April Tsui, a former intern with the agency, as art director.
GSD&M, Austin, has staffed up its DreamWorks account with several new additions to its media department. Andrea Porter joins the agency from Western International Media as broadcast negotiator. Linda Brown, formerly of Harmelin Media in Philadelphia, joins as media supervisor. Brett Stiles was promoted to associate creative director, while Rob Story was promoted to senior art director.
