Kawahara comes to the agency from the Advertising Council, where she worked as a campaign supervisor. Audrey Seigel joined Jordan McGrath Case & Partners in New York as vice president, associate media director and director of print services. She comes from Saatchi & Saatchi in New York, where she had been senior vice president, associate media director and director of print. Kevin Arsham joined Stein Rogan + Partners in New York as media supervisor. He will oversee traditional and online media planning for all accounts. Cooper Leder Marketing, Lake Success, has hired Jerry Foster as account supervisor. He came from Walter F. Cameron Advertising, where he was an account executive. Sean Burley of Partners & Shevack in New York has been promoted to vice president, director of studio services. He was studio director. Rocky Cipriano, a partner in Harrison shop SKC Advertising, has been named to the board of directors of SKC's parent company, New Paradigm Corp. in New York. Lieber Levett Koenig Farese Babcock, New York, has hired James Vander Putten as senior vice president, consulting operations. Vander Putten comes from Philip Morris, where he served as director of direct marketing and database development. Gary Mirkin has been named publisher of Inc. magazine. He was Inc.'s national advertising director. Food & Wine announced two new hires. Sarah Gustavson Olsen has joined the magazine as promotion manager. She was account director for Sisman Design. Jill Bauer was named merchandising manager. She came to Food & Wine from Evins Communications as an account manager. Display Technologies in College Point has hired Leslie Tannebaum as controller. She was controller for Chroma Copy International. Diane Ludacer has been hired as senior vice president, sales and marketing at Static & Motion Productions in New York. She was senior vice president of sales with Drury Design Dynamics. Michael Malone was named editor of Forbes ASAP. He was formerly the special projects editor. Eric Schwarzkopf has joined Mademoiselle magazine as advertising manager. Previously, he was advertising director of Living Fit and Fit Pregnancy. Lauren Splendorio was promoted to customer relations coordinator at USA Weekend in New York. Previously, she was sales assistant, direct response ad sales. Also, Roni Kersey joined the paper as newspaper marketing specialist. She will oversee the promotional ad, newspaper-in-education programs and create incentives for client newspapers. The Advertising Council has named Adrianne Maher manager of new media. She left USA Today Online, where she was a marketing specialist. Kathi Doolan of Departures magazine has been promoted to vice president, publisher from vice president, associate publisher. Men's Journal in New York reported two hires on its advertising staff: Andrew R. Amill, formerly publisher of Us, has been hired as associate publisher; and John Boland, former ad manager of Women's Sports & Fitness, was named ad director. Video Monitoring Services of America in New York hired Ed Lamoureaux as vice president of sales and marketing, advertising services. He left USWeb as manager of Eastern U.S. sales. Stuart Zakim joined Playboy Enterprises in New York as vice president, promotions. He came from Universal Studios, where he was vice president, national publicity. Discover magazine in New York has elevated Robert Lee to associate publisher from Eastern advertising director and has promoted Jeff Dunetz to Eastern advertising manager from account manager. Hank Fifield has been named consumer marketing director of Teen People in New York. He was formerly assistant consumer marketing director. Alicia Murphy joins Heitner Weiss in New York as senior account executive. She came from Hanft, Byrne, Raboy, Abrams & Partners, where she served as an account executive. Michael Ostrem has been named senior vice president, administration at Media Passage, New York, a newspaper advertising planning, placement and payment service. Ostrem had been chief operating officer for Preston Gates & Ellis. Bravo International, New York, has elevated Peggy Piguƒ to manager, sales and administration from supervisor, sales and marketing. Jim Harrison has been named contributing editor of Men's Journal in New York. He is the the author of Legends of the Fall and A Good Day to Die. MTV Networks, New York, has hired Stephen Friedman as vice president, public affairs of MTV: Music Television. Previously, Friedman was a strategic consultant in New York. The network also elevated Paul DeBenedittis to vice president, programming, planning and scheduling at MTV; Terri Kennedy to vice president, interactive and digital operations, MTV and VH1; Eric Sherman to director, interactive and digital operations; Nusrat Durrani to manager, interactive and digital operations; Ethan Beard to manager, interactive and digital operations; Allie Eberhardt to vice president, creative director in the interactive division; Rick Holzman to vice president, programming and promotion; and Justin Herz to vice president, production. Connecticut The BCB Group in Meriden reported several hires: marketing communications consultant Mel Tobin joined as creative director and copy chief; Ryan Merlo was tapped as an accountant; Melissa Watts, was named research analyst; Elisa Lufler was hired as a media buyer; Jennifer Filipek, formerly media relations assistant of the Connecticut Pride basketball team, was named public relations specialist; and Ben Mochan, former principal and account supervisor at Grand Central Marketing and Communications, was hired as account executive. Greenfield Online, an Internet-based marketing research firm in Westport, reported three new hires: Jason Levy as manager, client services; Alastair Bruce as vice president, client development; and Gail E.
