Montgomery Stire & Partners here signed two senior executives to help expand the agency’s growing business.
Philip Alandt assumed the new position of director of marketing at the Crescent City shop, while Chuck Dickey signed on as director of public relations.
Alandt spent 11 years at Wells BDDP handling the Ford Motor Co. advertising account in Detroit until the automaker ended its 17-year relationship with the New York-based agency in 1996. At that time, Ford consolidated its $40 million corporate account at Ogilvy & Mather, which handled the client’s customer care, Jaguar and international advertising business.
Alandt left Wells in February 1997 after closing the 16-member Detroit office.
“Philip brings a perspective in handling large accounts to this city that we haven’t seen before,” Montgomery Stire & Partners principal Frank Stire said.
