BOSTON Modernista! said it has hired Dustin Johnson in the new position of director of engagement strategy.
Johnson reports to Gareth Kay, the Boston agency's director of strategy. Johnson will serve as a liaison to clients and their media agencies to make sure Modernista!'s creative ideas are being implemented in the marketplace with as much efficiency and impact as possible.
An important part of Johnson's role is to serve as liaison with client's media agencies to benefit client's business.
"Our engagement strategy discipline is designed to make all our ideas for our client's brands more likely to have a disproportionate return on their communications investment," said Kay. "Dustin's background in the media and creative world makes him the perfect individual to do this."
Johnson joins Modernista! from DiMassimo in New York, where he helped guide strategy on the Abbott Funds account. He had previously spent five years at MDC Partners' Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners in San Francisco, as director of media operations.
