Return of Office Depot Sparks Retail Resurgence at Florida Shop
ATLANTA–Gold Coast Advertising grew more in billings and revenue last year than any Southeast agency.
The Miami shop was ranked 30th in the Southeast in 1999, with $10 million in revenue and $83 million in billings, both 80 percent increases.
Gold Coast’s resurgence coincides with the return of Office Depot, its longtime signature client, which left two years ago for a series of agencies before re-signing with the shop last October.
In addition to the Office Depot win, which followed a shootout with New York incumbent DeVito/Verdi, Gold Coast acquired several accounts without reviews, raising its billings from $37 million during the past eight months.
Most clients are located nearby, including two Fort Lauderdale, Fla.,
