CHICAGO McDonald’s Corp.’s two main U.S. agencies presented their ideas for a successor strategy to “Smile” in meetings with company marketing executives over the weekend.

McDonald’s lead agency, DDB Chicago presented work around the theme, “Eat Happy,” sources said. Burnett, which handles kids marketing for the Oak Brook, Ill., company, presented work around the idea, “One served,” sources said.

An immediate decision about how the Oak Brook, Ill., company would proceed is not expected for a few weeks, sources said.
