ATLANTA Zimmerman & Partners has added Mattress Firm to its roster of clients, the shop said.
The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Omnicom Group shop acquired the advertising account without a review. There was no incumbent.
Zimmerman said it would build a new marketing model for a portion of the company's 300 stores in 16 states. The assignment includes advertising, media buying, promotions and merchandising for the retail locations. The first work is scheduled to launch in May.
"Rather than simply telling us to spend more money they showed us how. With their help, we could have a larger return on investment on every dollar we spend," said Steve Stagner, the company's chief operating officer.
Billings were not disclosed, but the Houston-based retailer spent $20 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
