BOSTON In order to capitalize on the rebirth of the Silicon Valley high-tech corridor, public relations shop Racepoint Group said it has opened an office in San Francisco.

Marijean Lauzier, president and chief executive officer of Waltham, Mass.-based Racepoint, is leading the West Coast launch, working with S.F. office director R.J. Bardsley and four additional staffers.

The outpost’s key clients are Continuent, World Wide Packets and Advance Nanotech.

“The West Coast has been marked by a re-emergence of fast-growing technology companies with innovative products and solutions,” said Larry Weber, chairman of Racepoint, in a statement.
