Nike, get a clue. Dogfighting isn’t cool

I watched in shock last night a new Nike basketball spot from Wieden + Kennedy. Most of it is standard fare. What is unbelievable is a shot of a pit bull and a rottweiler being restrained from fighting each other.

The ad is irresponsible and ignorant. The mistreatment of pit bulls is a major issue in the black community, and canine abuse through fighting and neglect is well-documented. Why doesn’t Nike go a step further and promote dealing crack and slapping women as cool?
