NEW YORK Wieden + Kennedy's K.J. Weir has joined JWT in the role of director of new business development for its office here.
Weir, who started in the new position last week, will work closely with New York co-presidents Rosemarie Ryan and Ty Montague, who also is chief creative officer. She reports to New York-based Jeff Stier, director of business development for North America.
Weir, 32, spent about two years at independent Wieden in New York, where she was director of business development.
Before that, she spent five years at Publicis Groupe's Leo Burnett in Chicago, where she held new business and account management posts. Agency wins during that period included PetSmart, Gateway and EarthLink.
JWT's client roster includes Unilever, Kimberly-Clark, Diageo, Domino's, Diamond Trading Co. and JetBlue.
