NEW YORK — Juxt Interactive has launched a microsite to promote Shimano’s XTR mountain bike cross-country racing components.

Aimed at cycling novices and enthusiasts, the site ( http://xtr.shimano.com/ ) uses Flash and three-dimensional images to showcase the new shifting, braking and drive train component lines. It also features video clips, product specifications and a behind-the-scenes look at the engineering process.

Shimano, a producer of bicycle components and sport fishing equipment, retained Juxt for the assignment in June. The Newport Beach, Calif.-based interactive agency also handles such brands as Kawasaki, Reef and Samuel Adams.
