Matthews/Mark, formerly Capener, Matthews & Walcher, in San Diego, is set to acquire strategic communications firm MacCracken & McGaugh.
The San Diego-based advertising and public relations agency will move to the Matthews/Mark offices within the next couple of months, according to principal Peter MacCracken. The public relations arm of the combined shop will be renamed Matthews/Mark/MacCracken/McGaugh.
“This moves us from being a midsized public relations-based company to being part of a large-sized regional and national, fully integrated communications firm,” MacCracken said.
Both MacCracken and partner Scott McGaugh will report to Matthews/Mark chairman and chief executive officer Jim Matthews and the agency’s board of directors.
