IOC Taps Saatchi For Global Biz

Saatchi & Saatchi last week landed global creative duties on the International Olympic Committee’s ad account, besting WPP’s Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R in London, Siltanen/Keehn in El Segundo, Calif., and the incumbent, Omnicom’s TBWA Worldwide in New York. The review [Adweek, June 16] was part of an evaluation of outside vendors, said IOC marketing director Michael Payne. If purchased, the IOC media exposure would be worth more than $100 million.
