'Inspired' MHRC Tops Diamond Awards

DALLAS At the recent 2004 Diamond Awards, Mangan Holcomb Rainwater Culpepper took home top honors for St. Vincent Health System's "Inspired" campaign, the shop said.

Sponsored by the Arkansas Hospital Association, the 10th annual competition recognizes excellence in Arkansas hospital marketing and public relations. This year's competition attracted 142 entries from 20 hospitals and health systems of all sizes throughout the state.

The Little Rock, Ark.-based agency won a Diamond Award for its campaign on behalf of St. Vincent Health System, an Arkansas network of hospitals, primary-care clinics and home-health services. In addition, MHRC won two other Diamonds, four awards of excellence and a judges merit in the categories of radio advertising, print advertising, special video production, television advertising and writing.

In the winning spot entitled "Human," scenes of doctors, nurses and patients are set to evocative music. A voiceover says, "You are a human. With a mind ... a body ... a soul. You are why we are here." The simple tagline, "Inspired," concludes the ad.

The St. Vincent's campaign first broke in August 2003 and included four TV spots, along with print, radio, outdoor and Internet executions. It was the client's first major campaign in five years, the shop said.
