New Mexico Lottery Retains IncumbentATLANTA—Kilmer & Kilmer Brand Consultants was awarded the New Mexico Lottery advertising account in a state-mandated review against undisclosed agencies. The Albuquerque, N.M., shop has been agency of record for the state lottery since 1996. Billings are $10 million over five years. Zubi Assists Ford With Hispanic SpotsATLANTA—Ford is expanding its marketing efforts for the 2003 Expedition with multicultural efforts from Pancom, UniWorld and Zubi Advertising. The work will complement existing advertising from J. Walter Thompson in Detroit. Zubi in Coral Gables, Fla., which specializes in Hispanic marketing communications, developed a 30-second television spot and print work. Pancom in New York created television and print for the Asian market. Uniworld, also in New York, targets African Americans. Its two 30-second TV spots and print ad feature Laila Ali, daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali.Clarks Footwear Goes Into ReviewBOSTON—The domestic division of British casual footwear brand Clarks has confirmed meeting with agencies about its advertising account. The client in Newton, Mass., which has worked with Tank Design in Cambridge, Mass., declined to discuss specifics. Sources said Clarks is talking with about a half-dozen small and midsize Boston-area agencies about a major rebranding initiative, and hopes to make a decision before the end of this month. Spending will likely be in the low seven figures at most, sources said. MasterCard Hands Media Duties to GSD&MNEW YORK—MasterCard has shifted its interactive media planning and buying to GSD&M without a review, the client confirmed. Sources estimated that the interactive account means an additional $4-5 million in billings for the Austin, Texas, agency, which has handled MasterCard's television, magazine, newspaper, radio and outdoor media planning and buying since 1995. "Basically, it was for consolidation purposes," said a client representative. Interactive media duties were previously handled for two years by Avenue A in Seattle. Two weeks ago, the financial services company named Integer Group in New York its promotions agency. Integer replaces Ryan Partnership in Westport, Conn. Separately, MasterCard is conducting a review for its interactive creative account, according to sources. McCann-Erickson in New York handles the client's general-market advertising account. The Purchase, N.Y.-based company spent nearly $200 million in measured media in 2001, according to CMR.Clausen Leaves Post at Creative AllianceCHICAGO—Greg Clausen has returned to Cramer-Krasselt in the new position of executive vice president and director of media. Clausen, most recently executive vice president of media and business development at Creative Alliance in Louisville, Ky., will oversee media operations for Chicago-based Cramer-Krasselt's four offices. He was at the agency for six years prior to his 18-month stint at Creative Alliance.
