Creative Civilization Gains AccountsDALLAS&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;Hispanic agency Creative Civilization&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;An Aquilar Agency is branching out with more than $3 million in new general market account wins. The San Antonio agency was assigned general market duties for the San Antonio Express-News in the absence of a review after winning a Hispanic agency competition in December. The account was formerly with Atkins/Lord &#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0030;&#x0030;&#x0032;&#x0036;&#x003B; Lasker, also in San Antonio. Creative Civilization has also picked up both general and Latino marketing duties for local car dealership Vara Chevrolet, an account which was formerly in-house. Most recently, the shop was tapped by Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia in Austin, Texas, to be its Hispanic agency subcontractor on work for the Texas Department of Transportation, Texas Department of Health, Capital Metro and Insure-A-Kid accounts. Publicis' Hispanic Shop Bows Pennzoil TVDALLAS&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;Publicis Sanchez &#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0030;&#x0030;&#x0032;&#x0036;&#x003B; Levitan broke its first work for Pennzoil last week in two TV spots airing primarily on Telemundo's national network. "Forgetful" and "Seat Belt" both focus on the engine hazards of stop-and-start driving. The Dallas agency, which already handles the Quaker State brand, quietly picked up Hispanic advertising for Pennzoil earlier this year from cruz/kravitz: Ideas in Los Angeles, following an account consolidation by parent Pennzoil-Quaker State Co. Publicis creates advertising and will assume media duties as well from Amistad Media Group next year. The total account is worth $5 million in annualized billings to PS&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0030;&#x0030;&#x0032;&#x0036;&#x003B;L, formerly SiboneyUSA's Dallas office. Temerlin Hires Ravan, Ramsey for NortelDALLAS&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;Temerlin McClain has added two senior executives to manage its Nortel Networks account. Andy Ravan joins the Irving, Texas, agency as global account director from Delaney Lund Knox Warren &#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0030;&#x0030;&#x0032;&#x0036;&#x003B; Partners, London, where he was account director for Nortel, Priority Telecom and Unisys. Cynthia Ramsey was hired as group account director from BBDO, Chicago, where she was senior vice president and client services director. T3 Forms Interactive Division in AustinDALLAS&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;T3 has formed a new unit for its online projects. T3 Interactive is the result of more e-work for Dell Computer and other clients, the agency said. With billings topping $8 million, T3 Interactive's roster includes INC Research, Samsung Telecommunications America, United Supermarkets and Stratus Properties. Director of interactive marketing Dan Isaacs will lead the group, having joined the Austin, Texas, shop last year from Liv-ing.com, where he was online marketing manager. National Guard Reviews Agency RanksATLANTA&#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0032;&#x0030;&#x0031;&#x0034;&#x003B;WestWayne and Austin Kelley Advertising have advanced to the second round of the Department of Defense's National Guard review. The Atlanta shops join Arlington, Va., incumbent Laughlin Marinaccio &#x0026;&#x0023;&#x0078;&#x0030;&#x0030;&#x0032;&#x0036;&#x003B; Owens in the competition for the estimated $150 million account. The winner will create and place advertising for the Guard's Army, Air Force, public affairs and family programs. Also contacted, but not confirmed as contenders, were New York's Grey and McCann-Erickson.
