A White Leaves McCann for Lot21
SAN FRANCISCO--Michael White is the latest executive to leave McCann-Erickson/A&L, San Francisco, resigning as executive group director to join Lot21, an interactive agency. Earlier this fall, Betsy Sperry, former managing director of Anderson & Lembke, left the shop. In the meantime, Microsoft plans to launch the agency's first campaign in December. In July, Microsoft COO Bob Herbold told analysts the campaign would break in the fall.
A Wieden Breaks Campaign for HomeGrocer.com
LOS ANGELES--Wieden & Kennedy has launched the first-ever brand campaign for HomeGrocer.com, an online grocer. TV, radio, outdoor and print ads are running in Orange County, Calif., and Seattle, and will roll out nationally as the service expands. The spots highlight the benefits of shopping on the online service. One tries to familiarize consumers with how HomeGrocer.com works while introducing its signature trucks bearing a giant peach logo. The Kirkland, Wash., online company hired the Portland, Ore., agency last month to handle its $10 million account.
A Cox Communications Taps Ad Americas
LOS ANGELES--Cox Communications selected Ad Americas as its first national Hispanic ad agency. The shop will create an integrated marketing campaign to attract Latino subscribers in the client's markets. Billings for the Atlanta-based client were undisclosed. Ad Americas is a unit of DavisElen, Los Angeles.
A Angelos Calls It a Day at Chiat
SAN FRANCISCO--Peter Angelos has exited TBWA/Chiat/Day. The onetime executive creative director of the agency's San Francisco office has not announced his plans. Chuck McBride recently joined the shop in that capacity from Wieden & Kennedy. Angelos was made a group creative director, working on various accounts [Adweek, Oct. 4].

Video game maker Konami of America awarded its
$15-plus million account to Wieden & Kennedy after an informal closed review of three shops. The account was previously handled by Grey Advertising, New York, which participated in the review. The other contender was not disclosed. Wieden's New York office will handle creative and media duties. The Redwood City, Calif.-based company has partnered with ESPN to publish a full range of ESPN-branded video games next spring. Wieden's New York office handles ESPN advertising. ... Milici Valenti Ng Pack emerged as the winner in a review for the advertising portion of the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau marketing contract with the Hawaii Tourism Authority, valued at over $38 million.
