BBDO Lands $100 Mil. Dell Account
NEW YORK–BBDO has won Dell Computer Corp.’s ad account, believed to be worth more than $100 million in billings. The New York shop takes over from J. Walter Thompson in Chicago, which handled the account since last December. Dell declined comment. Sources said BBDO will be responsible for creating a global integrated marketing campaign. JWT’s first work, tagged “Be direct,” began in June.
