"TBWA/C/D Takes Home Pets.com SAN FRANCISCO-TBWA/Chiat/Day, San Francisco, working with its Playa del Rey, Calif., office, has picked up the estimated $20 million account of online pet store Pets.com, Emeryville, Calif., following a review that included Gardner, Geary, Coll & Young, San Francisco. The client is partly owned by Amazon.com. "Boeing Narrows List to "About 10' LOS ANGELES-Boeing has narrowed the list of contenders to "about 10 agencies" for its estimated $30 million account, said Clark McCann, director of advertising at the Seattle aerospace firm. McCann-Erickson and D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, both Los Angeles; Young & Rubicam and J. Walter Thompson, both San Francisco; and Ogilvy & Mather, New York, pitching with incumbent Cole & Weber, Seattle, are among the shops vying for the business, according to sources. Credentials meetings will be completed within three weeks; the list will then be cut to three or four shops, said executives at Geduldig & Ferguson, the New York consultancy tapped for the search. "American Greetings Wants PR Shop for Web Site LOS ANGELES-American Greetings, Cleveland, has sent out requests for proposals for an agency to handle corporate and media public relations for an impending initial public offering on its e-commerce site, the company said. The company expects to look for an ad agency once the spin-off is complete, said Jeff Petit, vice president of communications at the client. "FCB Names Powell Media Director SAN FRANCISCO-Foote, Cone & Belding here has named Doug Powell media director. Powell was previously the agency's vice president, media account director. He replaces Ted Block, who left earlier this year. "Robaire and Hogshead Picks Up CondeNet Work LOS ANGELES-Robaire and Hogshead, Venice, Calif., is in production on a print and TV campaign promoting CondeNet's health-service Web site, www.phys.com. The agency picked up creative duties for the site earlier this year. The creative resource was also recently awarded duties for concierge.com, CondeNet's travel site. Total creative and media billings are estimated at $9 million. "Reviews Roundup ... Autochoice Picks Saatchi Saatchi & Saatchi, San Francisco, has been awarded the ad account of used car location and buying service Autochoice.com, Sacramento, Calif., following a review that included other, undisclosed West Coast shops, said sources. The client, which plans to change its name and launch its Web site later this year, expects to spend $2-3 million on a West Coast campaign. ... Five agencies are vying for creative and planning duties on Citysearch's ad account, sources said. They are: Wolf/Doyle and J. Brown LMC, both San Francisco; Colby Effler & Partners, Santa Monica, Calif.; Peterson Milla Hooks, Minneapolis; and Young & Rubicam, Toronto. Billings were estimated at $1 million. A decision is expected by the end of June.
