_ Omni Hotels Awards PR Account to Fleishman DALLAS--Luxury chain Omni Hotels has awarded its public relations account to Fleishman-Hillard. The account will be serviced at Fleishman's Dallas office. The new assignment will involve a national media relations campaign and development of consumer-focused communications programs. Irving, Texas-based Omni operates 40 upscale hotels in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. _ Archon Residential Retains Bates Southwest DALLAS--Archon Residential has contracted Bates Southwest to conduct an image campaign aimed at increasing occupancy at CityView, a 5,000-unit residential community in Houston. The campaign will debut this month, with print, radio and outdoor advertising and public relations support emphasizing recent property renovations. Bates Southwest in Houston will team with sister agency Bates Churchill Public Relations on the multimedia effort. _ EFANShop Assigns Web Work to Rare Medium DALLAS--Rare Medium has been selected to provide design support for eFANshop, an Internet startup that operates the online sporting goods stores for major Web sites, including MSNBCsports.com. Dallas-based Rare Medium will provide creative services to support the "look and feel" of the client's Web site. EFANshop is also located in Dallas. _ Specialty Brands Taps Campbell for Jose Olƒ LOS ANGELES--Specialty Brands has awarded Campbell Mithun Esty its $8-11 million ad account for the new Jose Olƒ line of Mexican foods. The review also included Euro RSCG Tatham in Chicago and DDB Dallas. Select Resources International here conducted the review. The client is headquartered in Riverside, Calif.; the agency is in Minneapolis. _ H&R Block Narrows Agency Audit to Trio CHICAGO--H&R Block has cut to three contenders for its $100 million ad account. Campbell Mithun Esty, Minneapolis; DDB Chicago and San Francisco; and Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Boston, will make presentations to the Kansas City, Mo.-based client next month. The Richards Group in Dallas and Lowe Lintas & Partners and Publicis, both New York, were eliminated. The client parted ways with Young & Rubicam, Chicago, in April. _ Dish Latino Appoints Creative on Demand ATLANTA--Creative on Demand has been named agency for Dish Latino, a 22-channel Spanish-language programming service of Dish Network. Creative on Demand topped two undisclosed contenders for the business, which had been at Bromley Communications in San Antonio. Billings are still to be determined. All media duties for Dish Network are handled by Carat in Los Angeles. The first campaign will include one television commercial, three radio spots and three print ads, said agency creative director Daniel Marrero. Separately, the Miami agency last week launched the first-ever Sony CDWalkman television campaign in Latin America. The 30-second spot broke on the Spanish-language MTVS network.
