HLA Redefines Tampa Methodist Centers

ATLANTA The HLA Group is developing a new identity for the Tampa United Methodist Centers as a pro bono project, the shop said.

The work includes a new logo, redesigned Web site, enhanced newsletter, collateral material and a public relations campaign. Advertising plans have not been finalized, the independent Tampa shop said.

The goal of the work is to increase awareness of the nonprofit group's social programs and help recruit volunteers and donations. TUMC offers community programs such as Acorn Trace Seniors Housing, Rosa Valdez & Cuscaden Early Intervention Centers, New Place Cultural Arts Center and Intrafaith Coalition for Community Improvement. The organization also helps support statewide programs such as Child Care Food Program, Housing Management Services and Share Florida Food Network.

HLA said it agreed to help the group after they became neighbors in the Ybor City section of Tampa last year.

"We are both members of the Ybor City community so we are thrilled to be given the opportunity to help this worthwhile and historic organization achieve a fresh, innovative look and to help them tell their story to our community and neighbors," said Ashleigh Slyker, a principal of the shop.

"I am confident that with the help of The HLA Group we will raise TUMC to a greater level of awareness throughout the region," said Stephen S. Langford, executive director of TUMC.
