NEW YORK Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos today named Laurel Rossi managing director of the Interpublic Group agency's office in New York.
Rossi, 47, will oversee key accounts including AOL, Pitney-Bowes, Smith Barney and Verizon Wireless. She had been evp, director of strategic information.
"Laurel has been a critical asset to the Hill, Holliday network for well over seven years. Both her management philosophy and unique approach to the business have been indispensable and will undoubtedly further the success of the New York office," said Mike Sheehan, CEO of the Boston-based shop. "Laurel was pivotal in the acquisition and growth of the Verizon business and she will continue to work very closely with AOL as they evolve their business."
Prior to Hill, Holliday, Rossi served as chief marketing officer of Boston-based Cyrk, and she has held senior posts at Citibank and Revlon.
Brian Carty, who led the New York office as president and also oversaw new business for the agency nationwide, departed nearly a year ago.
After several slow years, Hill, Holliday has gained significant momentum of late, adding high-profile assignments from AOL, Diovan and Smith Barney in recent months.
