DALLAS Rives Carlberg has picked up advertising and promotional duties for the Helfman group of automotive dealerships, the agency said.
The Houston shop will handle media planning and buying as well as develop all creative for Helfman's three local dealerships: Rivers Oaks Chrysler/Jeep, Helfman Dodge and Helfman Ford. The $2.2 million account was awarded without a review. There was no incumbent.
"Car sales in the Houston market are extremely tight, so we felt we needed an aggressive, creative agency to help set us apart from other automotive dealerships," said Jack Helfman, owner and president of Helfman Enterprises. "We feel confident the agency will help take us to the next level."
Rives' new campaign for the client brands the group of dealerships as a "Helfman Family" rather than three independent shops. The effort broke Sept. 1 in the greater Houston area, and will include TV, radio, newspaper and outdoor components. The campaign is expected to run through next August, the agency said.
