GoDaddy.com Tops ACNielson Recall Index
One and two days after the Super Bowl, GoDaddy.com still received the highest recall rate of all the game advertisers, according to a recent study from ACNielson International Research, a division of Adweek parent company VNU. According to ACNielson's Recall Index, which measures advertising recall relative to the air-time during the game, the GoDaddy.com spot about a senate-like hearing featuring a buxom spokeswoman did the best job in creating memorability. Budweiser, Pepsi, FedEx and Ameriquest rounded out the top five brands with the highest recall in the national online survey of 1000 participants.
What's on Your Head?
What started out as a special thank you for a young ring-bearer has turned into a book debut for McCann Erickson group creative directors Sean Bryan and Tom Murphy, who work on Verizon Wireless and Wendy's in New York. Inspired by a funny answering machine greeting made by Bryan's nephew that talked about how the entire family couldn't make it to the phone because each member had a bunny on their head, the pair teamed to write a story for the boy. Soon thereafter, readings were taking place in classrooms and "A Boy and His Bunny" was published by Arcade Publishing. In bookstores this month, it is getting good reviews and may even lead to future children's books. "We left it open for a potential sequel," says Bryan.
