Brothers Eric and Adam Heneghan, CEO and president, respectively, of Giant Step, are leaving the Chicago-based interactive agency they founded in 1991.

A spokeswoman for Giant Step, a 270-employee shop now owned by Bcom3 Group, referred calls to Leo Burnett, another Bcom3 company. where a spokesman called the parting “mutual” and said the brothers’ departure date was still undetermined.

“They are leaving, and Bcom3 remains committed to Giant Step as an organization,” he said, adding that team of primarily Giant Step managers, with some Bcom3 representatives, has convened to choose successors for the Heneghans.
