BOSTON Samsung Chemical, producer of Staron Surfaces, has chosen Gabriel deGrood Bendt in Minneapolis for ad chores following a review.

The shop will be responsible for developing an integrated North America brand campaign for the Los Angeles-based company, the client said. That work will launch in the first quarter of 2008 and seek to drive awareness of Staron's Tempest, Quartz and Solid Surface lines.

"We were impressed with Gabriel deGrood Bendt's insight and depth into the home products category," said Dale Mandell, Staron national sales manager, in a statement. "Combined with their great creative product, this partnership promises an exciting future for our brand."

The chance to work with a major advertiser on a national level makes the account an important addition for the agency, said shop cd and CEO Tom Gabriel.

Other clients of the independent full-service agency include Activision, Andersen Windows, Danze faucets, Gillette Children's Hospital, Hamline University, Gedney/Del Monte, Gold'n Plump Poultry and Zebco fishing gear.
