CHICAGO Bonefish Grill has selected Cliff Freeman and Partners to handle its $1 million advertising account, the company confirmed.

In addition to advertising, he MDC Partners-backed New York agency will handle customer relationship marketing, Web development and will be included in promotional and public relations initiatives.

"Cliff Freeman worked diligently during our review process to deliver sound strategic thinking and creative concepts that excited our review committee," said Richard Turer, vp, marketing at Bonefish, in a statement. "I am confident that this new partnership will further invigorate an already exciting organization during this dynamic time."

Bonefish is part of OSI Restaurant Partners, which is also parent to Outback and Carraba's Italian restaurants. Contenders in the review were not disclosed.

OSI is currently considering three agencies for the $90 million media planning and buying account of its Carraba's and Outback chains. The contenders are: Aegis Group's Carat, WPP Group's MindShare and independent agency Horizon Media. That business is currently split between MPG in New York and Doner in Southfield, Mich.

OSI spent just over $1 million in measured media touting Bonefish last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
