CHICAGO Dan Fox, who heads the Coors Brewing account at Foote Cone & Belding in Chicago, is retiring from the agency at the end of the year.

The 57-year-old evp and group account director has worked on the business for 16 years. Fox has been with the shop for 30 years.

"It's been a great run—I love the client, I love the people," he said. "There's just other things I've got to do."

Fox said he believes the business would continue to be "very well served" at the Interpublic Group shop, despite his departure.

Coors spends about $160 million on advertising, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. The agency shares the general-market account with IPG sibling shop Deutsch in Los Angeles.

Taking over for Fox on Coors is svp, group account director Marty Stock, 41, who has worked on the brewery's account for 14 years.
