As the network enjoys a resurgence this season, Fox Broadcasting Co. has set its sights on developing more dramas that appeal to female viewers, Fox brass told media buyers Tuesday during a preview of its development slate for the 2001-02 season.
“We continue to feel that females are underserved by this network,” Fox entertainment president Gail Berman said during a presentation to media buyers held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. Noting that Fox in the past has had success with such female-skewing shows as “Party of Five” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Berman said “our drama development is geared toward continuing that relationship.”
