Interactive agency VML has hired Sheila Bacon to be general manager of its Dallas office.
Bacon, most recently senior di-rector of e-business solutions at Sprint Global Marketing, will focus on new business for the Kansas City, Mo.-based shop’s Texas outpost. According to the agency, VML Dallas accounts for about 20 percent of the shop’s total claimed billings of $167 million.
Bacon cited VML’s ability to merge interactive technology with marketing as key to her decision to move to the WPP-owned agency.
In addition to Dallas and Kansas City, VML has offices in New York and White Salmon, Wash.
VML’s client roster includes Burger King, Payless ShoeSource and Colgate-Palmolive.
